8th Wedding Anniversary

My dearest Kelly,

Rain is slowly pouring from the sky. Its water feeding the trees, nurturing the earth, and helping nature grow and be alive. It's the circle of life and it will continue on until the end of time. Unlike our love, nature can dry out and the beautiful life of it will be on hold. How much love we share each day is unknowable, but our love will never be on a standstill. My body is fed by your devotion every single time I inhale the crisp air we breathe, and my heart pounds harder and faster every time I feel your presence near. I miss you when I'm far and I can't get enough of you when I'm close. 

As I sit here watching you sleep, I get overwhelmed with the feeling of happiness and joy. Tears appear in my eyes because I realize that nothing in this world will ever be impossible to conquer with you by my side. You are like a good luck charm to the poor and a Porsche to the wealthy. 

Your presence is simply here and you were never so familiar to me. It feels less like I am getting to know you and more as though I am remembering who you are. Every smile and every whisper brings me closer to the impossible conclusion that I have known you before, I have loved you before - in another time, a different place, some other existence! I close my eyes and start reminiscing about the wonderful memories we've already made, and I smile, because I know this is just the beginning.

You light up my world like a lantern in the dark and your beauty shines through like the sun on a sunny afternoon. I love the way your curls fall right after a hot shower and the way you look at me for no reason at all. I am head over heels in love with you and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. 

It's now been eight years since we said "I Do!" and even though we've had our good and bad times, I wouldn't change a thing. You have become more than just my wife - you've become a necessity! A requirement to be able to breathe, a shelter for all my love, and a longing to have in my life. I love you so deeply that I have to pinch myself from time to time to make sure this is real. Never would I have thought that I'm capable of loving with so much passion and getting the same in return. My love for you will forever be unconditional and I will protect you like a mother bear is protecting her cub. 

Baby, these eight years have been a hell of a ride, but never mind how bad it gets, you are the one who keeps me sane. When I'm down you're the one who lifts me up and when I'm flying high you're the one who reminds me that the sky is the limit. You are the most amazing woman in this entire universe and I'm the luckiest guy because you've chosen to love me. I'm so much in love with you that I still can't put it in words. Perhaps one day, 50 years from now, when we're sitting in our rocking chairs on the porch of our house, I'll be able to truly describe how much you really mean to me. Until then, I'll continue loving you beyond our measurements, with every single fabric of my being and with every breath I take - every single day of the rest of our life - and beyond time!

6th Anniversary Letter

My amazing Kelly, 

Another year has passed and I still can't explain the emotions that have surged like a storm through my heart. I've experienced the best journey imaginable, and with every day I get to spend by your side my feelings for you increase in strength and depth. With you I have found my treasure so many people search for in life. Thus for me it's not about wealth, for I am the richest man in the world already. 

Describing what was in my heart has always come easy to me. I've never had problems saying how I really felt, but that seems to have changed ever since I met you. Even now, writing this letter to you, I have difficulty choosing the right words, for those words don't really exist. How can I describe everything you've given me? How can I begin to express the love I have known? For years I've been looking for the words to describe how I really feel, the words that could tell you exactly how much you mean to me, how much I really love you, but mere words aren't enough. So let me try to describe the sensation that's deep down in my heart. 

You are the sunshine that brightens my every day and the rainbow to which I am so addicted to. Your beauty is like a flower that never stops blooming; starting its journey underground and slowly making its way to the surface. Not one day has passed when I didn't see the reflection from your heart shining through – the heart that has allowed for my love to enter. 

Feeling your hands in my hair is like the wind blowing through trees on a warm summer night. Your gentle and carrying touch makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Although feeling a small tickle now and then when you touch my back, I wouldn't give it up for a second, for that special touch feels like electricity shooting through my entire body. 

You make life worth living; not just for me, but for everyone around you. You light up a room when you enter and everybody enjoys your company. You turn me on in so many ways, not just sexually but spiritually as well, and that lets me know that the connection we share is unique and could never be replaced. You are my rock in times of trouble and the reason to my breathing. I love the way you look at me ; you don't just look at me, but you look into my soul. Feeling your lips on mine, so soft and sweet, makes me want to stop time and live forever.

Once in a while I like to think back to when I was still in Switzerland, getting to really know the feelings people talk about in movies. Never would I have imagined that missing you could hurt so badly. I've laid awake for many countless nights wishing I'd feel you next to me – instead I felt nothing but air beside me. Getting to know all those different kinds of feelings has helped me appreciate the relationship we have more and because I truly know the emotion and meaning of the term 'missing you', I've indeed learned to also love you more and to cherish what we have to the fullest. 

Now, six years later we're married and I couldn't wish for anything else. You're more than I could have ever imagined you'd be. You complete me and make me want to live forever. You let me feel what true love really is. There's not a single doubt in my mind that we're meant for each other and meant to be together to infinity and beyond. 

We both know we've gone through good and bad times but because of the bad ones, we appreciate the good ones more and have grown stronger together. There will always be passion between us, and even if there might be times when it seems like it's gone, I'll always know it's there. I'm too passionate about so many things about you, that there's just not the possibility of it ever getting lost. 

I love it when you brush my hair when walking by me, just a single touch that means so much. Your embrace calms me down and tells me that no matter what, as long as there is you and me, we'll be just fine. I'm hell on wheels and you're heavenly and together we make the perfect team. 

 I love when you smile at me, a smile that can enlighten the darkness. Your beautiful brown eyes are mysterious in every single way and I could stare at you for hours, getting lost in the deep and kind world of your soul. 

I enjoy when you play hard to get, because that's when I get to take control and get to show you how much I really want you. The need to be skin on skin with you is like honey for a bee, it's so sweet and addicting that I just can't get enough. There's not one single day when I don't look forward to feeling your lips on mine, to tasting you and just holding you in my arms. Your embrace is so comforting and warm and makes me feel like I can never be lost again. You will always be my safe haven. 

Some things just work mysteriously and are unexplainable – and our marriage would be one of those. Never would I have thought I'd turn out the way I did, but because of you, I've become a better man. I appreciate life so much more since you've crossed my way. You've shown me the beauty of truly living, the beauty of love and the beauty of marriage. I love to be married, love to be your husband and am proud to be your man. There's a 'want' and there's a 'need' with a big history in between. I might sound desperate when I say that 'I need you', but I'm not afraid to say how I really feel. I wouldn't know what to do without you, for I could not imagine not having you by my side. You've become the person I can always count on, the anchor in my life and the reason to my happiness. You are the one that makes happiness happen. 

Kelly, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever laid eyes on and I'd be a fool if I wouldn't hold on to you. I love you like I've never loved anything or anyone before and I'll continue doing so. My heart jumps of joy and skips a beat at the same time when I think of you, but no matter what, you always put a smile on my face. Your love is like the wind; I can't see it, but I feel it and I'll forever cherish the day I laid my eyes on you, for that's the day I started living. 

I love how passionate you get when something really gets your attention and how you'll put everything into it to make it work. Whether it's gardening, writing or sexing ;), you always give it your all.

I can see it clearly, the future we're meant to have. You and me sitting side by side on the wrap-around porch of our house, enjoying a cup of coffee while being covered with a blanket that keeps us warm from the cold breeze. We'll be talking about memories of our life, things we've done that gave us so much pleasure, and I know I'll be sitting there smiling and falling in love all over again, because I'll remember the moments when you brushed my hair, when you looked at me from across the room and made my heart skip a beat. And I'll remember the times when you kissed me, when our lips met with so much passion and our tongues intertwined. I'll remember all of those memories because I cherish every single moment we spend together, every touch I feel, every glance we share and every kiss I get to taste. 

Now, it's very much possible that I've rambled and repeated myself, but you can't blame a guy for trying to say what he feels in different ways. I'll continue to give my best and be creative to come up with ways to show you my love, so you ought to stick around just to see what I will do next. :) 

I love you, baby, I love you so much because no matter what, you always look for and find the positive in everything. I love you because you always seem to be able to read my mind. I can feel your love, in the warmth of your touch, because it touches my heart and soul. Your heart is as big as a mountain and you're just too good for this world.

Just like the days we'll get to spend together in this life will never be enough to show you how much I really love you, how much I really adore you and how much I really cherish every single second spent with you.

The Journey To A Healthier Me

5th Anniversary Letter

My Dearest Wife,

As a couple we have walked the path of marriage to this destination - our 5th wedding anniversary. Half a decade of marriage - doesn't time fly? In all those years we've experienced quite some times, but everything we've been through has proven our love more and more real. Just like a rain drop falling from the sky, beginning its journey by flowing with the current, its path going through ups and downs until it soaks into the earth where it continuous its journey underground. That's exactly how I'd describe what we have; Cupid's hit us with his love arrow unexpectedly and we've fallen for each other head over heel. Our path has brought us through ups and downs but we kept on going no matter how big the rocks in our way were. When it'll be time for us to leave this world, our love will continuously live on to infinity and beyond underground.

Infinite... Doesn't that have a nice ring to it? I'm loving you so much that I wish time on this world would go on forever. What I know for a fact, though, is that I'll always have you close to me. You're the one person I can always count on. I've put my life into your hands, knowing that there's no better place for it to be and nobody that can care for it as much as you do.

Being with you is like dreaming with my eyes wide open. I'm drawn to you in so many ways that it's hard to focus on anything else. Even after all this time I'm still crazy about you and addicted to you in each and every way. I could spend my days with nothing more but looking at you and listening to that beautiful angel voice of yours. You've put a spell on me when you first entered that chat room and it's never worn off ever since. What makes it so wonderful is that even though I'm aware of that, I don't mind if you put another thousand spells on me. I'm dancing at your fingertips and I enjoy every second of it. I know what I got with you and know that you deserve to be treated like a princess.

A woman's worth is so much more than just looks or how great her curves lie. It's about how she shows her heart and soul and how she presents herself. If all that gets combined and served on a silver platter you know you have something worth much more than you expected.

The time spent on earth is precious and you always got to make the most out of it. I've already made the most out of it by loving and marrying you. There's nothing else I'd rather do than spend my time on this world with you. Our two hearts have melted into one and have not been separated ever since - and never will. When two people like us fit together so perfectly it just has to be right.

So you see, once again I'm trying to say how much I love you but all I'm ending up with is ramblings. How do I put something in words when there aren't any words to describe it? And how would I show you the value of our love when there's not nearly enough money in this world to do that? I didn't really have to think about that for long, because there's only one thing in the universe that can answer all those questions, and that one thing is "love"! Even though I might never be able to fully describe how much I really love you, I will always show you with my love. And even though we'll have enough money to not have to worry about anything one day, there would still never be enough money no matter how much we'd save up or how long we'd live. It's just that simple: Our love is so extremely worthy, special, unique and endless that it's just indescribable. But believe me when I tell you that I'll keep on trying to describe it until I get close to doing so. And even after that I'll continue trying!

We have those special moments when we can't get enough of each other at all and it's like we're back in our teenage years and just fell in love with one another. That's what I love about us. No matter how much time we spend together, there are still plenty of moments where we experience new things about each other and new things about our marriage. There have also been lots of times when I fell in love with you all over again. Either you just said something or once again entered a room in your true beauty, or perhaps you just sat there and looked breathtaking. No matter what, you're my dream come true and I know my dream will go on until the last rose dies.

I am so much in love with you that at times everything else around us seems unnecessary. You are all I need and you are all I want. This is me wanting you to know that my love for you is definite and true and I'll love you endlessly!

Here's to another twenty years. Let us move on to our silver wedding anniversary, before we go to our gold and then to our diamond one. We are meant to be together. We are meant to last forever.

To Believe or Not To Believe

Believing is a big part of life. When growing up you mostly follow the beliefs of your parents, but as you grow older you start to develop your own beliefs. Believing in something is important for most people and differs in the religion you have. As far as I know, God is the one most of the population believe in, but certainly not the only one. Nowadays, New Age comes up in conversations even more than it did back in the days. If I'm not mistaken, it's its own class and doesn't have a holy text unlike most formal religions. It's a mind-body-soul spirituality where people with the same beliefs get together. It is believed that things like healing with only your hands and mind is absolutely possible and unlike any other religion, there's no actual believing in a "Being" (like God, Buddha…etc.)

I grew up in a family filled with non-believers, and even now, I've never believed in God. I went through events like a confirmation and had to attend religious classes in school, but I just couldn't get myself to believe in God. As years passed and tragic events happened, I lost faith in believing at all. I've heard sayings about God, that there's a reason for everything He does, but being filled with pain and confusion, I just couldn't understand why He would take loved ones away from us. Going through life filled with tragic and unfair events showed me even more that something like God just couldn't exist. At least not in my mind.

So here I am, trying to put a post together about something I don't really believe in, but feeling the need of having to do it anyway. I feel that there's something higher than us. Something that watches over us and protects us from bad things. Thinking about all the things that have happened in the world and are still happening, there just has to be a higher being. Some things just don't make any sense at all and to find an actual answer to all those questions is just too hard. So I feel it, but do I actually believe in it? I don't know.

A few days ago, I've asked myself the question of whether or not life would be easier if I'd actually believe in something. Would life so far had turned out different if I'd believed in God? Or believed in anything at all? Would I be a different person if that would be the case? But then I realized something. I thought about it hard and long and came to the conclusion that I indeed believe in something higher. Something that's above us and - I like to think so - protects us from the bad. I found something, something that might be the answer to my question.

Who said that believing in something has to be religious? Who said that the only beliefs you can have are the believing in God etc.? I know for a lot of religious people, that's exactly the case. But what about the spiritual folk? Aren't the things they believe in emotional? Like Love and Astrology? Crystals and Tarot Cards? If I'm not mistaken, that's exactly what it is. I'm not sure if I believe in the telling of the future by astrology, crystals and tarot cards, but I can definitely say that I do believe in love. The moment you are born you receive the love of your mother. Then your father and the entire family come into picture. You receive all their love and you didn't even do anything to get it all. You've only seen this world for a few minutes, but you're already overflowed by it. The receiving continues as you grow older, and by the time you can make decisions for yourself, you start giving love. So if we think about this for a second, love accompanies you throughout your entire life, so isn't the belief in love (which is something spiritual) equal to the belief in a God? (religious).

A lot of questions I might never get an answer to, but I'll definitely keep an open mind when going through life, because you never know when something comes your way that makes you feel 'free'!

Be Who You Are...

Taking a look back at old pictures and memories I've noticed how much we've all changed in the past few years. It's a scary concept when you really think about it. We all used to talk about never wanting to grow up and wanting to be kids forever. Things change and it's those changes in our lives that help us shape who we are as adults. Sometimes you can't help but wish you were that kid once again, living life without a care, goofing around and being yourself, and it makes me wonder: What is going to happen to us in the future? Where will our choices take us in life? Who will be there in the end for us?

As we take charge of our lives we grow, and the adults we grow into are undetermined. Take charge of your own destiny, make yourself into the best person you can possibly be. Don't let other people's judgments and opinions take a place in determining who you are as a whole. Yes we will make mistakes, yes we will fall, but in the end we will always pick ourselves back up and keep moving forward.

As for myself, I'm going to keep moving forward and not let my past mistakes ruin the bright future I have ahead of me. Yes I've screwed up one too many times but that will not hinder my efforts. I am whoever I wish to be, whether that be what the world wants or not. I will always be myself no matter what. I am who I chose to be!

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw him
you would even say it glows

All of the other reindeer
used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say:
"Rudolph with your nose so bright,

Then all the reindeer loved him

You Define Love

I've experienced both love and what I thought was love, and found pain and hurt. The real definition of love is Kelly, who's given me everything and more. The time we share with one another is breathtaking. I feel safe in her arms, she embraces me; touching every bone in my body as it tingles to the touch of her warm flesh. Her presence lingers in my mind when she isn't physically with me, always on my mind, and in my heart. She cares for me, the way no one can and ever will. Our time spent with each other is blissful. The sound of her voice lets me know that I am safe from all danger. Her lips - oh, how sweet! The laughter we share is like no other. All is serene.

My problems, which she has not caused, are but small deteriorating objects that escape my mind when she comforts me. She respects me, not just as a husband, but as a person and a man. She is always honest with me, giving me advice which helps me in becoming a better person.

She brings out the best in me, the Simon who has been shut away from his feelings, worrying too much about the well being of others rather than himself, neglecting what means the most. Our relationship could not, and would not survive without forgiveness. The relationship we share is like no other. She looks out for my best interests. Helping each day with the patience I need with others. If I fall, she is right by my side to lift me up.

She is perfect in every way, shape, and form. Happiness describes every moment we share. We've gone beyond our limits, surpassing each other's barriers. What we have may become stale at times but will re-make and once again be fresh.

When I am in pain she is my remedy. She replenishes the holes made by others in my heart, mending them with her thoughtfulness, kindness, and well-being. She quenches my thirst, whatever it may be. She serenades me as if I were a king in a royal family. Oh, how I cherish her. We were once strangers, but have become the love of one another's lives.
